Intarsia Knitting Class
Intarsia allows you to knit different colored shapes in a single item, knit flat. This class offers tips for managing multiple balls of yarn, preventing holes in your work and a technique that allows you to knit intarsia in the round. Duplicate stitch will also be covered. You will see examples of intarsia projects in person, and learn how how intarsia differs from other color work techniques.
Required Supplies:

50 grams each of three contrasting colors of DK weight yarn. I recommend choosing a light, medium and dark colored yarn

US Size 6 double 
pointed needles.

A yarn needle for duplicate stitch and to weave in ends.
Homework:
Please cast on and knit the ribbing for your hat *BEFORE* coming to class so you can jump right into learning the technique. Use your darker color and circular needles to cast on 100 stitches. Knit 1.5″ of k2, p2 ribbing. If this ribbing is too large or small for the intended head, frog and cast on again. Do not bind off.
