Seamless Tailored Cardigan Class
Learn my favorite way to knit a flattering cardigan. We will follow the Sunday Drive Cardigan pattern by Tanis Lavallee and make a seamless sweater that looks and fits like a sweater that is knit in pieces and seamed at the end.
But wait! There’s more! You have the option of modifying this sweater in several ways:
-
You have a choice of stockinette or original garter stitch
-
Knit the sleeves or the back in a contrasting color. Stash buster!
-
Add cables to the lower half of the body.
-
If you are very brave, you can knit this in DK. Knit a swatch and check your math to determine the best size for you.
Skills this class covers: Short rows, pick up stitches, intarsia, 2×2 cables, how to apply a button band.
All students must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. Students must knit a 6″ x 6″ gauge swatch and adjust needle size. This is an ideal project for knitters who have finished their first sweater and wish to make a really flattering, customized cardigan.
Leaf pattern on the lapels are not included in this class, although other designs options can be used.
SAVE $10 when you combine this class with the Intarsia Class on Sunday July 12!
